Phone Automation Manager lets you talk to technology

The I/NET Phone Automation Manager (PAM) is an example of conversational interface technology at work. PAM is a complete application for interacting with factory automation systems over the telephone. Factory personnel can call PAM to check on equipment alarms, query system status, and take actions needed to keep things running smoothly.

Other systems send a page that alert maintenance or managers to come to the factory when an alarm needs attention. PAM lets users call on the phone to see what's wrong. Using plain English, users can ask PAM for more detail about alarms and even reset machinery — all remotely over the phone.
