Authentication User File Configuration


Specifies the user file to use when processing user authentications.


The name of the file that contains users. Each line in the file will consist of one user name followed by a colon (':') and then the user's password. This parameter is required.
This optional parameter can be either Stream or Database. If not specified, Stream will be used. Authentication User Storage has more information about this.

Default If No Entry Found

If there is no user file specified, user authentication is not allowed.

Command To Change This Value

File Syntax

AuthUserFile FileName FileType

Each user file entry must be within a session section. If more than one user file is specified in the same session section, the last entry will be used for that session.

When processing requires, only one user file will be used. The one used will be the one that is nearest (and farthest from the root) to the session for which access is being evaluated.
