Initial Request Processors

Indicates the number of request processors (RPs) that are started at startup time (i.e., when the server is started with the STRWWW command). An RP is needed to process each server request. The number of RPs the server should have available at startup is dependent on the typical number of concurrent requests the server must handle.

Additional RPs can be started dynamically (see request wait timeout) or procedurally using the STRWWWRP command. Individual RPs can be ended with the ENDWWWRP command.

The number of RPs to start. This must be a value between 1 and maximum request processors.
