Authentication Type Configuration

Description

Specifies the authentication type.

Parameters

Basic
This is the only authentication type currently supported.

Default If No Entry Found

If there is no authentication type specified, user authentication is not allowed.

AuthType Basic

Each authentication type entry must be within a directory section. If more than one authentication type is specified in the same directory section, the last entry will be used for that directory.

When the server is processing requires, only one authentication type will be used. The one used will be the one that is nearest (and farthest from the root) to the directory for which access is being evaluated.
