CHGWWWKPWD - Change Keylist File Password

The CHGWWWKPWD command is used to change the password that is protecting a Commerce Server/400 keylist file. The keylist file password cannot be changed until the keylist file contains a signed server certificate, which is added with the ADDWWWCERT command.

IMPORTANT: Do not change the keylist file password if there is a server currently running that is using the keylist file.

CHGWWWKPWD Parameters

CURPWD - Current Password
The current password used to encrypt the server's keylist file. The keylist file password was initially set with the CRTWWWKEY command. If the password is case-sensitive it must be enclosed in single quotes.

NEWPWD - New Password
The new password to use to encrypt the server's keylist file. The password must be at least 8 characters in length and should follow good password guidelines (e.g., no repeating characters, use both letters and numbers). The same value must be passed into the STRWWW command when starting a Commerce Server that is using the keylist file. If a case-sensitive password is desired the password must be enclosed in single quotes.

VERPWD - New Password (to Verify)
Enter the new password again to verify you have entered the new password correctly. This value must match the entered new password or the password is not changed.

KEYFILE - Keylist File
Specifies the full-path to the keylist file that is being changed.

The default keylist file is '/WWWServ/Key/KeyList.Cfg'.

IMPORTANT: Make a backup copy of the keylist file after the password is successfully changed. If something should happen to the original (e.g., deleted, damaged) the backup would then be used.
